Imagine Getting...

Imagine sitting on your sofa and getting a text message from your cousin, with this photo.

It takes a few minutes to realize it's a bunch of stars. I take a closer look and see the text message that accompanies the photo:

Hi Marci,

You may have this already. Casey was at Universal Studios the last few days for school dance activities.

She ended up talking to the staff there about Ian's experience  - specifically with Spiderman. The Universal Studios people said they remember Ian and showed Casey his star on their wall. The stick is pointing to his star.

It blew me away. I texted back and forth with Mitch, asking questions. They went to Give Kids The World? He said he wasn't sure. Was it Universal or GKTW who remembered him? Mitch wasn't sure, he said that Casey was due home that night and would get more of the story from her.

I just got off the phone with Casey. She was there with her dance class. They performed at Universal. They went to GKTW to perform for their idol night. They were supposed to volunteer there as well but something happened with the paperwork so they couldn't. Casey and her classmates were given a tour of GKTW. She went up to the GKTW employee and thanked them for everything they did for her little cousin when he came to meet Spiderman and how happy it made him. The GKTW employee told Casey that she is sure Spiderman was just has happy to meet Ian. The employee then asked Casey if she knew the year and his name. Of course, Casey knew his name. With that they looked up his star and showed it to her... Casey told us that the village was amazing. It was equally amazing and meaningful for her to see his star!
